Photograph B&W (366 x 250 cm), 5 paintings (epoxy resin, 55 x 37 cm), suitcase, limited artist edition of 500 lighters

In the wake of Etat des Lieux 01 presented the same year at Musée de Villeneuve-d'Ascq, Etat des lieux 02 is a proposal for a mirror image via the life-size reproduction of a view of the exhibition previously held at Etienne Tilman gallery in Brussels. Alongside this image, polyester resin reproductions of paintings created in 1991 entitled Tableaux Substrat I and II play with their transparency on the wall. An open briefcase offers the visitor a deal, inviting him to take away the cartel of the artworks in the form of a transparent lighter. Passing from hand to hand, it will spread around the world.
